The Black Watcher

I wanted this raven to feel watchful rather than ominous—quietly standing against a dark blue sun, with one eye on the world around it.

I carved the feathers with plenty of texture, then inked and pressed every print by hand. The small variations between impressions are part of what makes each one individual.
